Mapping to the Core: Integrating the   Common Core Standards into Your Local School Curriculum

During this interactive session, Dr. Ann Johnson, Director of Professional will model how the Mapping to the Core process can be used to integrate the Common Core Standards into your curriculum.  Ann will share design strategies and digital applications featured in a new book and training modules written by Dr. Jacobs and members of the CDI Team.

Participants will learn strategies to help them

• make sense of the standards
• unwrap the Common Core standards and identify the nonnegotiables and targeted levels of instruction
• transition from unpacking the Common Core to developing unit maps
• integrate the Common Core Standards into the units
• integrate 21^st century upgrades into units and professional development
